A Friend's Visit

Yesterday noon, we have a friend whom flown all the way from SG to visit this potato land. Eileen will be staying with us for the next two weeks and traveling with us to Las Vegas next week! Hope she will enjoy her stay! 

Chelsea's 42

Nope! It's not Chelsea FC 42 anniversary. It's not about my favourite soccer team. It's our pet dog Chelsea's birthday! Time flies, she turned 42. But yet, she's still adorable, lovely and at times playful and mischievious. 

Chelsea, you are a faithful dog and we love you so much despite you being mischievious at times. Happy birthday lovely one. We love you!

Moca

It was pretty random. We saw this Darshund at Pets Mart and it was very adorable! I asked Ju about this type of breed and all she said that this dog is smart and very loyal to the owner. The next thing I said, I want it! 

Ju straight away went on to craiglist and found a breeder selling a female Darshund for $275. We can never get such price in Singapore. We contacted the owner and she told us someone has reserved it but is checking with her husband if they can own one. We left it to fate. The next moment, the lady told us that it's available and we were over the moon! 

The next day, we collected the 6 weeks Darshund and we named it Moca since Ju loves hot chocolate and I love coffee and the mixture of both makes Mocha. Ju prefer to name her Moca to make it unique. 6 weeks, she was already potty trained. She is a smart dog. 

Looking forward to see her grow up! Love Moca! 

United Airlines

To all who are considering traveling via United Airlines, better think twice!!! This is probably the worst airline with the worst crew members, counter service etc. My friend's in laws just had a very bad experience with United Airlines. First was the rude counter service followed by a delay in flight. 3 hours delay!! It almost caused them to miss their International flight. Kudos to Singaoore Airlines, they managed to board the plane despite the gate was already closed. United Airlines needs to buck up. They will be the bottom of our list for flying. We had our bad experience too. The flight to San Francisco was delayed and we missed our flight back to Singapore. We were treated badly by the counter that managed misconduct flights and was lucky to meet two fantastic individuals who helped us. Jeff Smisek...... Wake up your idea!

2015: A brand new year

There goes 2014. To some of our friends, it was a fantastic year but for us, it was like a roller coaster ride.

In the beginning of the year, I lost my granny. It was devastating and we flew back to SG to see her off the last time. At that point of time, I wasn't having the best of time at work either. 

As time passed, things turned out better. Everything seems bright and we were living happily. We went to tour New York and Washington DC, had some fun times. Weeks later, good news came and we were moving to another level, being parents. However, our dream was short lived. The little one left. Our world seemed to collapse. We had never felt so hurt before and it hurt even more as I was helpless while Ju was suffering in pain. 

Fortunately, Ju was as brave as Xena and as strong as Wonderwoman. She recovered fast from this setback and moved on from there. Now coming to the new year, we have our new resolutions. 

1. Live healthy

Life is u predictable. It is important for us to continue living healthily. I have my own workout regime and definitely I'll drag Ju along if needed.

2. Work life balance

Work here might not be as tough but I will definitely take some break to enjoy our stay here in the states. Ju's parents will be here again in June and we are planning a trip to the East but this time will be Florida. 

3. The little one

The first one linked to this. To have a little one, we must stay healthy! I'm sure we are ready to be parents and we will be!
